Building, Together: Give to Fort Ward Community Hall thru One Call For All

Our new banner says it all: “Building, Together.” That’s right: Fort Ward Community Hall is honored to partner with One Call For All, joining more than 100 other local nonprofit organizations in this year’s Red Envelope drive.

banner-ocfaOne Call For All is a cornerstone of our community, a signature annual event that has supported island nonprofits and charitable organizations since 1960.

As an organization, OCFA is itself unparalleled. One hundred percent of the money – yes, 100 percent! – received by OCFA goes directly to the non-profit(s) you designate.

Friends of Fort Ward is very proud to be included in this year’s campaign.

To celebrate, we are pleased extending this offer to Fort Ward Community Hall donors who contribute through One Call For All:

  • Donate $100, and receive a Friends of Fort Ward T-shirt (while supplies last – but we have a box full).
  • Donate $200 or more, and receive a limited edition Fort Ward Community Hall print by Alex Sanso, hand-signed and numbered by the artist. We have about 15 of these left from this strictly limited 50-print run. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Get one now for framing before it’s too late!

By now you should have received your Red Envelope in the mail. Please look for Friends of Fort Ward among the listed nonprofits and earmark a contribution to our community hall campaign. Enclose a check and drop it in the mail soon.

If you’ve already filled out your Red Envelope, don’t worry – you can still give online at www.onecallforall.org. Scroll through the nonprofit directory to Friends of Fort Ward, or for a direct link to support the Fort Ward Community Hall, click on this link.

While you’re at it, please give to a few (or many!) of the other great causes represented in the One Call For All campaign. Your gift will be paid back many times over through a stronger, more vibrant, more caring community.

Look for a special One Call For All supplement in the Oct. 28 edition of the Bainbridge Island Review newspaper, with profiles of organizations doing great work in early childhood education, park stewardship, youth services, and local agriculture, among other causes.

Now, join us in Building, Together. With your support, we can make the Fort Ward Community Hall a reality in 2017.

We ask you to give generously through the One Call For All campaign, as we restore the fort’s beautiful historic bakery building, open it for community use by all islanders, and create a landmark amenity for the Fort Ward National Historic District – our little fort at Bean Point.

Thank you!
