The new Fairy Tale Dental office in Winslow and owner Dr. Helena Soomer Lincoln, DDS, Ph.D, P.S., are supporting the Fort Ward Community Hall project as they establish the island practice.
Fairy Tale Dental will donate a percentage of all revenues for the next three months to the Fort Ward Community Hall campaign.
The practice, located at 115 Hall Brothers Loop NW, Suite 105 (in Madrone Village on Winslow Way West), is now welcoming patients. A full range of care is offered, from exams and prevention to extractions, oral surgery and dentures.
An open house is planned from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, March 17, to introduce Dr. Lincoln and her staff to the community.
“During my residency at the University of Michigan Hospital, I developed a passion for individuals who are under-served and have special needs, such as the elderly and disabled,” Dr. Lincoln says. “I also recognized that I have a special ability to show compassion for those with fear of dental procedures. I realized that I can help people through a very gentle approach with careful listening and through the power of song and a story.”

Dr. Lincoln and her family are residents of the historic Fort Ward neighborhood and one of its prominent historic buildings.
“We love living in the Army administrative building and are committed to the preservation of our historic neighborhood,” she says. “We have been so impressed with the youth of Fort Ward! Their efforts to restore the historic Bakery Building have been amazing and we want to support them as we embark on our new business, Fairy Tale Dental. We believe our young children (“fairies”) can grow by example in this beautiful and friendly community. Hats off to the Friends of Fort Ward – keep up the good work!”
Friends of Fort Ward thank Fairy Tale Dental and Dr. Helena Soomer Lincoln for partnering with the Fort Ward Community Hall project on this generous promotion.
