Thanks to Bainbridge Rotary for our great new banner

If you’re taking a stroll through historic Fort Ward and hunting for the future site of our community hall – look for this sign!

This smart vinyl banner, funded by a generous grant from Bainbridge Island Rotary, gives an overview of the project and directs passersby to other resources (i.e. this website).

It also acknowledges the participation of the Bainbridge Island Metro Park and Recreation District in our efforts to complete the community hall project.

Bainbridge Rotarian and longtime Fort Ward resident Art Bartel (pictured, at right) helped members of the youth advisory committee put up the banner on the north side of the community hall site, the fort’s former bakery building, on a recent afternoon.

We also wish to acknowledge Bainbridge Island Rotarian Gregg Dawson, who worked with our youth committee to secure grant funding for the banner.

Thank you to Art Bartel, Gregg Dawson and the rest of the Bainbridge Island Rotary members for their enthusiasm and support of the Fort Ward Community Hall project. Good luck with the Rotary Auction this weekend!
